OHIO — U.S. Marshals and members of the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force have arrested the final fugitive wanted in connection with a 2025 double homicide in Cleveland’s Slavic Village neighborhood.
According to the task force, Frankie Hairston, 31, was taken into custody Wednesday morning at a home in the 3900 block of East 71st Street in Cleveland.
Hairston was wanted by the Cuyahoga County Sheriff’s Office on charges of murder, felonious assault, involuntary manslaughter and having weapons under disability.
Authorities said Hairston is the fifth suspect indicted in connection with the Oct. 18, 2025, shooting at a Sunoco gas station in the 7000 block of Fleet Avenue. The incident left Deon Stallings, 27, and Bruce Singleton, 46, dead and injured two others, including Hairston.
Task force officials said Damon Walton, 34, Jabrial Adams, 37, and Gino Pierce, 38, had previously been identified as suspects and were arrested in 2025. Hairston was the last remaining fugitive sought in the case.
Investigators had also been searching for Hairston in connection with a separate 2024 burglary case.
The task force said Hairston was arrested without incident.
“This was an incredibly violent incident that took place in the middle of a busy neighborhood,” U.S. Marshal Pete Elliott said. “The U.S. Marshals Service and its partners will continue to search for anyone involved in a violent incident that resulted in the loss of life as well as those who terrorize our communities with violence.”
Hairston was turned over to the Cuyahoga County Sheriff’s Office. Authorities did not release additional information about his upcoming court appearances.
