WISCONSIN — Two teenagers were treated for minor injuries after a high-speed chase ended in a crash early Wednesday morning in Fond du Lac County, according to the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities said a deputy attempted to stop a vehicle for speeding on County Highway N in Eldorado shortly before 4 a.m. Wednesday. Investigators said the driver failed to stop after the deputy activated emergency lights and instead turned onto Townline Road and accelerated away.

The sheriff’s office said the chase reached speeds of about 100 miles per hour before the deputy lost sight of the vehicle. A short time later, the deputy found the vehicle crashed in a ditch along the north side of Subway Road.

Both occupants were taken to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

After being treated, a 16-year-old boy from Fond du Lac was released to a parent. A 19-year-old man from Van Dyne was taken to the Fond du Lac County Jail.

The 19-year-old could face charges including operating after revocation, fleeing and eluding an officer, and first-degree recklessly endangering safety.
