Two people dead following vehicle crash in North Carolina

NORTH CAROLINA — Two people were killed and another was critically injured in a single-vehicle crash Wednesday night in Fayetteville, according to police.

Officers responded around 10:50 p.m. to Cedar Creek Road near Fields Road, where two people were pronounced dead at the scene.

A third person was transported to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center and remains in critical condition.

According to authorities, the vehicle crashed into a tree. Three children and a 29-year-old woman, who was driving, were inside the vehicle at the time of the crash.

Police have not released the identities of the victims.

The roadway has reopened, and the crash remains under investigation. Additional information is expected to be released as the investigation continues.
