
OHIO — A child was killed and three other people were injured in a head-on crash Wednesday evening in Ross County, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Troopers responded to the crash around 7:53 p.m. on State Route 327.
An initial investigation found that a 2010 Chevrolet Malibu was traveling north when the driver crossed left of center and collided head-on with a 2008 Dodge Ram 1500.
A child riding in the back seat of the Chevrolet was transported to a hospital, where the child later died.
A second child who was also in the Chevrolet was taken by ambulance to a hospital before being flown to a children’s hospital in Columbus for additional treatment.
The driver of the Chevrolet was airlifted to a hospital by medical helicopter. The driver of the Dodge suffered minor injuries and was transported for treatment.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol is continuing to investigate the crash.
