INDIANA — Two people were killed in a head-on crash Friday morning in Dearborn County, according to the sheriff.
Dearborn County Sheriff’s Department confirmed the fatalities, which occurred shortly before 6:30 a.m. on State Route 350 at Sparta Pike in Sparta Township.
Authorities said the crash involved two vehicles in a head-on collision. Details about the victims have not yet been released.
State Route 350 was shut down for approximately two hours following the crash and is expected to remain closed for an extended period as investigators continue their work.
Drivers are being urged to use Sparta Pike as a detour until the roadway reopens.
The crash remains under investigation, and additional information is expected to be released.
