FLORIDA — A man was killed early Friday morning in a single-vehicle crash in Doral, according to the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities said the crash occurred around 2:33 a.m. near Northwest 107th Avenue and Northwest 33rd Street, close to the Miami-Dade Correction and Rehabilitation Department. Police responded to reports of an “accident with injuries” at the scene.
Investigators said the man was driving northbound on Northwest 107th Avenue when he lost control of his vehicle and struck a tree.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity has not yet been released.
The Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office Traffic Homicide Unit has taken over the investigation and is working to determine what caused the crash.
