Two people arrested following oilfield theft investigation in Oklahoma

OKLAHOMA — Two people were taken into custody Tuesday after authorities executed a search warrant as part of an ongoing oilfield theft investigation in McClain County.

According to McClain County Sheriff Landy Offolter, the warrant was served with assistance from the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation.

OSBI Public Information Officer Hunter McKee said two individuals are currently in custody, but no formal charges have been filed at this time.

Authorities said the investigation remains active, and additional details are expected to be released later Tuesday.

The identities of the individuals taken into custody have not been released.

No further information was immediately available as investigators continue to work the case.
