FLORIDA — Three people were injured early Wednesday in a shooting at an Orange County nightclub, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded to Le Palace nightclub on South Orange Blossom Trail around 1:40 a.m. after receiving reports of a shooting.
Investigators said a man in his 40s opened fire on two men in their 20s inside or near the club. A security guard at the nightclub witnessed the shooting and returned fire, striking the suspect, according to deputies.
All three men — the suspect and the two younger men — were transported to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Authorities said a second person who was with the suspect fled the scene following the shooting but was later apprehended by deputies near the intersection of 37th Street and South Orange Blossom Trail.
No additional details about the circumstances leading up to the shooting or the identities of those involved have been released.
The investigation remains ongoing.
