Thousands without power in Ohio

OHIO — More than 4,400 homes and businesses across Ohio are without power Sunday morning, according to PowerOutage.us.

As of the latest update, 4,461 customers statewide are affected by outages out of more than 5.4 million tracked customers. Ohio currently has the fifth-highest number of reported outages in the nation, with about 0.08% of customers statewide without electricity.

Cuyahoga County reports the largest number of outages with 1,780 customers affected. Lake County follows with 573 outages, while Licking County reports 455 customers without power. Franklin County has 224 outages, and Noble County reports 222 customers affected.

Among utility providers, FirstEnergy reports the highest number of outages statewide with 1,730 customers without service. Cleveland Public Power reports 1,309 outages and has the highest percentage of customers affected, with 1.78% of its customers without electricity. American Electric Power Ohio reports 721 outages, while Duke Energy reports 304 customers without power.

Noble County currently has the highest percentage of customers affected among counties, with 2.65% of tracked customers without electricity.

Utility crews continue working to restore service as outage numbers are updated throughout the morning.
