
MISSOURI — More than 7,700 homes and businesses across Missouri are without electricity Monday morning, according to statewide outage tracking data.
PowerOutage.us reported 7,791 customers without power statewide out of nearly 2.93 million tracked customers.
Warren County reported the highest number of outages in the state Monday morning with 1,456 customers affected. Jackson County had 1,230 outages, while Benton County reported 996 customers without electricity. Other counties with significant outages included Miller County with 589, Gasconade County with 444 and Bates County with 399.
Evergy reported the largest number of outages among utility providers with 2,968 customers without power. Cuivre River Electric Cooperative reported 1,527 outages, while Ameren listed 919 customers without electricity.
According to the outage tracking site, Missouri currently ranks fourth in the nation for the total number of outages and sixth nationwide for the percentage of customers affected.
Warren County was listed as the hardest-hit county in Missouri by total outages, while Gascosage Electric Cooperative had the highest percentage of customers affected among utilities tracked in the state.
Residents are encouraged to report outages to their utility providers and avoid downed power lines.
