ARIZONA — More than 6,300 homes and businesses across Arizona are without electricity Monday morning, according to statewide outage tracking data.

PowerOutage.us reported 6,369 customers without power statewide out of more than 1.87 million tracked customers.

Nearly all of the outages were concentrated in Maricopa County, which reported 6,362 customers without electricity Monday morning. Smaller outages were also reported in Pima, Cochise and Pinal counties.

Arizona Public Service Company reported the overwhelming majority of outages in the state with 6,362 customers affected. Other utility providers reported only a handful of outages statewide.

According to the outage tracking website, Arizona currently ranks fifth in the nation for the total number of outages and fourth nationwide for the percentage of customers affected.

Maricopa County was listed as the hardest-hit county in Arizona, with nearly half a percent of tracked customers without electricity.

Residents without power are encouraged to contact their utility provider for restoration updates and avoid any downed power lines.
