FLORIDA — More than 5,800 customers are without power across Florida as of Wednesday morning, according to outage tracking data.

Figures from PowerOutage.us show approximately 5,815 homes and businesses are currently without electricity statewide, representing about 0.05% of the nearly 11 million customers tracked.

The outages are concentrated in several areas, with Okaloosa County reporting the highest number at around 3,819 customers affected. Miami-Dade County follows with roughly 877 outages, while Broward County and Pasco County are also reporting smaller clusters of outages.

Utility data shows Florida Power & Light accounts for the majority of outages, reporting more than 5,300 customers in the dark. Other providers, including Duke Energy and Withlacoochee River Electric Cooperative, are also reporting scattered outages.

Statewide, Florida ranks among the top states for outages Wednesday, placing fourth in total outages but significantly lower in overall percentage of customers affected nationwide.

Restoration efforts are ongoing, and residents are encouraged to report outages to their utility providers and use caution around downed power lines.
