
ARKANSAS — More than 3,600 homes and businesses across Arkansas are currently without power Thursday morning, according to data from PowerOutage.us.
As of the latest update, 3,675 customers are without electricity statewide out of more than 1.6 million tracked customers, representing about 0.22% of the state.
Pope County is reporting the highest number of outages, with 1,264 customers currently without power. Clay County follows with 857 outages, while Johnson County has 699. Other counties reporting outages include Benton County with 110 customers affected and Pulaski County with 86.
By utility provider, Entergy reports the largest number of outages, with 2,582 customers currently without service. OG&E Energy Corp. has 714 outages, while smaller numbers are reported by Arkansas Valley Electric Cooperative, Carroll Electric Cooperative and First Electric Cooperative.
Arkansas currently has the eighth-highest number of outages in the United States and ranks fourth in the nation for the percentage of customers affected.
Restoration efforts are ongoing, though no estimated timeline for full service restoration has been provided.
