
OHIO — More than 7,000 homes and businesses across Ohio are currently without power Thursday morning, according to data from PowerOutage.us.
As of the latest update, 7,204 customers are without electricity statewide out of more than 5.4 million tracked customers, representing about 0.13% of the state.
Cuyahoga County is reporting the highest number of outages, with 4,404 customers currently without power. Jefferson County follows with 1,625 outages. Other counties reporting outages include Franklin County with 183, Montgomery County with 181 and Portage County with 169.
By utility provider, Cleveland Public Power reports the highest number of outages, with 3,462 customers affected. American Electric Power Ohio has 2,048 outages, while FirstEnergy reports 1,367. Smaller numbers are reported by AES Ohio and Duke Energy.
Ohio currently has the fifth-highest number of outages in the United States.
Restoration efforts are ongoing, though no estimated timeline for full service restoration has been provided.
