School resource officer injured after being struck by vehicle in Alabama

ALABAMA — A school resource officer was taken to the hospital after being struck by a vehicle Tuesday morning in Lexington, according to authorities.

Police said the incident occurred near the intersection of School Church Street and Taylor Kizer Street, close to Lexington School.

Emergency responders transported the officer to a hospital for treatment. Officials said the officer is in stable condition and is expected to be OK.
