
PENNSYLVANIA — Part of Interstate 83 South in York County remains closed Tuesday evening following a multi-vehicle crash, according to 511PA.
The crash happened just before 5 p.m. near Exit 28 for Pennsylvania Route 297 in the Strinestown area.
Traffic cameras from 511PA showed emergency crews responding to the scene and significant backups along the interstate as a result of the closure.
Authorities have not released details about how many vehicles were involved or what caused the crash.
There was also no immediate word on injuries.
Motorists are being urged to avoid the area and seek alternate routes while crews continue working at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
