
NORTH CAROLINA — A Nash County man is facing several drug-related charges after deputies searched his home and reportedly found narcotics and a firearm, according to the Nash County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies said they began investigating possible drug activity Wednesday after receiving a citizen complaint involving a home in the 9000 block of Issette Lane.
During the investigation, authorities searched the home of 33-year-old Jesus Ramos-Vargas. Deputies said they seized methamphetamine, mushrooms, nearly 7.5 ounces of marijuana and a gun from the residence.
Ramos-Vargas was charged with possession with intent to sell or deliver methamphetamine, possession with intent to sell or deliver marijuana, possession of a Schedule I controlled substance, maintaining a dwelling for controlled substances and possession of drug paraphernalia.
According to the sheriff’s office, Ramos-Vargas was released after posting a $5,000 secured bond.
The investigation remains ongoing.
