VIRGINIA — A crash early Wednesday morning has shut down all westbound lanes of Interstate 64 at the Hampton Roads Bridge-Tunnel, leading to significant traffic delays in the region.
According to traffic officials, the crash occurred on the westbound side of I-64 at the bridge-tunnel in Norfolk. All westbound lanes were closed as emergency crews responded to the scene.
Authorities reported that traffic backups stretched to approximately 2.5 miles on the westbound side. Eastbound lanes near the tunnel were also experiencing heavy congestion as drivers navigated the area.
