SOUTH CAROLINA — A rollover crash on an exit ramp in Summerville has caused traffic delays during the Wednesday morning commute.

According to officials, the crash happened on the eastbound exit ramp of Interstate 26 leading to U.S. Route 17A.

Authorities said that around 6:40 a.m., the two right lanes on southbound U.S. 17A were blocked as emergency crews responded. By about 7 a.m., those lanes had reopened, but traffic remains slowed in the area and backed up onto the exit ramp.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol is assisting at the scene. Drivers are being urged to use caution and watch for first responders in the area.

Officials have not released information on what caused the crash or the condition of those involved. The situation remains under investigation, and updates are expected as more details become available.
