OHIO — A suspect is in custody after a road rage shooting on Interstate 271 in Mayfield Heights left one person hospitalized Thursday morning, according to police.
The Mayfield Heights Police Department said officers were notified around 8:14 a.m. when a caller reported that a driver traveling south on I-271 had been shot by someone in another moving vehicle.
The victim was transported to a nearby hospital with injuries that police described as non-life-threatening.
Investigators identified both the suspect and the vehicle involved through the course of the investigation. Authorities later located the suspect and took the individual into custody.
Police have not released the identities of those involved or any potential charges.
