MISSISSIPPI — Police are investigating a shooting that occurred overnight on Elizabeth Circle.
According to the Vicksburg Police Department, officers responded around midnight Friday to the 100 block of Elizabeth Circle after receiving reports of shots being fired. When officers arrived, investigators recovered multiple shell casings from the scene.
While officers were investigating, they learned that an adult man had arrived at a local emergency room suffering from two gunshot wounds to his arm. Authorities are working to determine whether the shooting victim is connected to the incident reported on Elizabeth Circle.
The investigation remains active, and no additional information has been released.
