
FLORIDA — A man was critically injured in a shooting early Friday morning in Miami Beach, according to police.
The shooting was reported at approximately 4:53 a.m. in the 6700 block of Collins Avenue.
Miami Beach police said officers responded to the scene and found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported by Miami Beach Fire Department personnel to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center, where he was listed in critical condition.
Authorities have not released the victim’s identity or any information about a possible suspect.
Due to the investigation, northbound Collins Avenue is currently closed at 67th Street. Traffic is being diverted west to Harding Avenue and Indian Creek Drive, police said.
The shooting remains under investigation.
