
GEORGIA — Authorities are investigating a serious crash involving a pedestrian early Monday morning in Cobb County, according to the Cobb County Police Department.
The incident occurred on Macland Road near Gus Robinson Road. Police said the department’s STEP unit has been called in to handle the investigation due to the severity of the crash.
Officials confirmed the pedestrian sustained serious injuries. However, authorities have not confirmed reports of a fatality and said no additional details will be released until the preliminary investigation is complete.
The area was shut down around 6 a.m. as investigators worked the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
