INDIANA — A man was found shot to death inside a Fort Wayne home early Tuesday morning, and a suspect has been taken into custody, police said.
Officers responded to a report of a possible shooting around 1:20 a.m. in the 4500 block of Bowser Avenue. When they arrived, they found an unresponsive man inside the residence with an apparent gunshot wound. Medics pronounced him dead at the scene.
Police said investigators immediately began interviewing witnesses and collecting evidence. An interpreter was brought in to assist with communication due to a language barrier.
The Fort Wayne Police Department’s homicide team, crime scene unit and air support unit were all called to assist in the investigation.
Authorities confirmed a suspect is in custody, but have not released additional details. The investigation remains ongoing.
