
KENTUCKY — A Barren County woman is facing multiple charges after police say she was caught stealing from a storage unit.
According to the Glasgow Police Department, an officer was on patrol Monday, May 4, when he observed a woman removing items from a storage unit on Kentucky Street. Police said the lock to the unit had been cut.
Following an investigation, officers identified the woman as 33-year-old Megan Thomas of Glasgow. Authorities said items taken from the unit were found inside her vehicle. During a search of the vehicle, officers also reportedly discovered drugs and drug paraphernalia.
Thomas was arrested and charged with third-degree burglary, possession of burglary tools, first-degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of drug paraphernalia, second-degree possession of a controlled substance, and third-degree possession of a controlled substance.
She is being held at the Barren County Detention Center on a $2,500 cash bond.
All charges are allegations, and the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
