
SOUTH CAROLINA — One person was killed in a three-vehicle crash Thursday evening in Greenville County, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
Troopers said the crash happened on Highway 25 near West Georgia Road.
Investigators said a MINI Cooper was traveling south on Highway 25 while a Nissan SUV and a Lexus SUV were traveling north.
According to troopers, the Nissan SUV changed lanes and struck the Lexus SUV. The Nissan then ran off the roadway and overturned.
Authorities said the Lexus crossed the center line after the collision and crashed head-on into the MINI Cooper.
The driver of the MINI Cooper was killed at the scene, troopers said.
The driver of the Lexus SUV was taken to a hospital for treatment. Officials said the driver and passenger in the Nissan SUV were not injured.
The crash remains under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
