INDIANA — A Knox man died Thursday night after a single-vehicle crash in Starke County, according to police.
The crash happened around 10 p.m. near Toto Road and County Road 300 East.
Authorities said 56-year-old John Bochnicka Jr. of Knox was driving when his vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree.
First responders arrived to find the vehicle resting against the tree on the north side of the road. Officers located Bochnicka inside the car.
Police said life-saving measures were attempted, but Bochnicka was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
