ILLINOIS — One person was killed and another was injured in a single-vehicle crash late Sunday night in McLean County, according to authorities.
The crash happened at approximately 11:59 p.m. Sunday on U.S. 136 under the Interstate 55 overpass.
Officials said one person was taken to a local hospital for treatment, while another occupant was pronounced dead at the scene.
Both lanes in the area were temporarily shut down following the crash but reopened around 6:07 a.m.
Additional details about the victims and the cause of the crash were not immediately released. Authorities said the investigation remains ongoing.
