OHIO — A woman was wounded in a shooting early Tuesday on the South Side of Youngstown, and police said one person has been arrested.
According to Youngstown Police Department, the shooting happened around 3:50 a.m. in the 800 block of East Midlothian Boulevard.
Authorities said the woman was shot in the stomach and was taken to St. Elizabeth Health Center, where she was listed in stable condition.
A city spokesperson said a person was arrested following the shooting, but no name was immediately released.
Police statistics show Youngstown has recorded eight shootings so far this year, including three homicides. Six of the shootings and two of the homicides have occurred on the city’s South Side.
