
FLORIDA — One person is dead following a single-vehicle crash Monday afternoon in Taylor County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The crash happened on Beach Road outside of Perry shortly before 4 p.m.
Investigators said the vehicle crashed and caught fire.
Both the driver and passenger were transported to a hospital for treatment following the crash.
FHP said one person later died from injuries suffered in the crash. Authorities have not said whether the person who died was the driver or passenger.
The condition of the surviving occupant was not immediately available Monday evening.
The crash remains under investigation by the Florida Highway Patrol.
