TEXAS — One person was killed in a shooting outside a business on Richmond Avenue in west Houston early Wednesday morning, according to police.
Houston police said the shooting happened at a strip center in the 9300 block of Richmond Avenue near Ocee Street.
Officers responding to the scene found a person in the parking lot suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities have not released the identity of the victim.
Investigators said it remains unclear what led up to the shooting, and no information about a possible suspect or suspects has been released.
The Houston Police Department’s Homicide Division is leading the investigation.
