
SOUTH CAROLINA — Authorities are investigating a deadly shooting that occurred Thursday night in North Augusta.
According to the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office, the shooting happened around 10 p.m. on April 16 along Hutchinson Drive.
When deputies arrived at the scene, they found 61-year-old Darryl McKinney lying on the ground with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators with the sheriff’s office, along with forensic units and the Aiken County Coroner’s Office, responded to process the scene.
Authorities have not released additional details about the circumstances surrounding the shooting or any potential suspects.
