
NORTH CAROLINA — A 16-year-old girl was killed early Saturday in a shooting in Hope Mills, according to police.
Officers responded to a call around 12:15 a.m. on Fox Ridge Road. When they arrived, they found the teen suffering from gunshot wounds.
The girl was taken to a hospital, where she later died from her injuries, authorities said.
Police have not released the victim’s name and are working to notify her family.
No suspect or motive has been identified at this time.
