FLORIDA — A suspect surrendered to law enforcement Saturday morning following a 12-hour standoff at a condominium complex in Winter Park, authorities said.
The situation began Friday night at the Lake Killarney condominium complex, where a large police presence surrounded the area. Officers from Winter Park, Apopka and Maitland responded, along with support from the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities said police used a loudspeaker throughout the standoff to call for the individual inside a specific unit to come out. An armored vehicle was also brought to the scene as officers worked to resolve the situation.
The suspect eventually exited the condominium and surrendered without further incident Saturday morning.
Officials have not released the suspect’s identity or said what charges, if any, may be filed.
The investigation remains ongoing.
