GEORGIA — One person was killed and another was injured in a shooting late Sunday night at Irene Thomas Park in Hinesville, according to the Hinesville Police Department.
Police said two 18-year-olds suffered gunshot-related injuries during the shooting and were taken for medical treatment.
Authorities later confirmed that one of the victims died from their injuries. The identity of the victim has not been released.
Investigators said evidence was collected from the scene as the investigation continues.
