OHIO — One person is dead and another was injured following a rollover crash Wednesday night in Coitsville, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Troopers say the crash happened around 9 p.m. on the 6400 block of McGuffey Road. Investigators determined the vehicle was traveling eastbound when the driver lost control after going through two separate culverts.
Both the driver and passenger were taken to a hospital in critical condition. Authorities later said the driver’s injuries were non-life-threatening, but the passenger, identified as 53-year-old Shun Moreland of Struthers, died from his injuries.
Troopers also noted that neither occupant was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
First responders from the Coitsville Police and Fire Departments, along with the Ohio State Highway Patrol, assisted at the scene. The crash remains under investigation.
