
GEORGIA — A months-long drug investigation in Ben Hill County has resulted in two arrests, according to the Ben Hill County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities said deputies with the sheriff’s Special Operations Division, along with Fitzgerald police, carried out an operation April 22 in the 500 block of East Pine Street.
Two Fitzgerald residents were taken into custody and face multiple felony drug charges, including trafficking in cocaine.
During the operation, officers seized approximately 34 grams of cocaine, more than three ounces of marijuana, multiple schedule pills, digital scales, packaging materials and an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency.
The investigation remains ongoing.
