
VIRGINIA — A motorcyclist was killed in a crash in Lynchburg late Friday night, according to Lynchburg Police.
Officers were called shortly before midnight on April 17 to the 4500 block of Fort Avenue. When they arrived, they found the motorcyclist, who was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim’s name has not yet been released.
Police said they believe the motorcyclist was traveling at a high rate of speed when the bike struck two other vehicles.
Authorities said the drivers of the other vehicles remained at the scene and are cooperating with the investigation.

The incident remains under investigation.
