
FLORIDA — A man riding an electric bicycle was killed Friday night in a crash involving a Coral Springs police vehicle, according to authorities.
The crash occurred around 9:41 p.m. in the 4300 block of Riverside Drive, the Coral Springs Police Department said.
Officers and Coral Springs-Parkland Fire Department crews responded to the scene, where they determined the e-bike rider had collided with a marked police vehicle. Police said officers immediately began providing aid to the man.
The victim was transported by fire rescue to Broward Health North, where he was later pronounced dead. His identity has not been released.
Officials confirmed the officer involved in the crash was not injured.
