TEXAS — One person is dead following a motorcycle crash Tuesday afternoon in Midland, prompting multiple road closures in the area, according to police.
The crash happened around 12:30 p.m. near the intersection of Midkiff Road and Industrial Avenue. Midland police said officers responded to a report of a motorcycle-involved crash at that location.
Authorities confirmed that one person died as a result of the crash. No additional details about the victim have been released.
Several roads were closed following the incident as crews responded and investigated. Southbound Midkiff Road was shut down at Bankhead Highway, and Industrial Avenue was also blocked west of Midkiff.
Police are urging drivers to avoid the area while the investigation continues.
