One person dead following motorcycle crash in Pennsylvania

PENNSYLVANIA — A 67-year-old man died after a motorcycle crash Monday night in Washington Township, Lehigh County, according to the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office.

The crash occurred near the 3000 block of Welshtown Road. Lehigh County Coroner Daniel Buglio said the man, who was from Slatington in Washington Township, was pronounced dead at the scene shortly before midnight.

According to the coroner, the motorcyclist lost control of the motorcycle, left the roadway and crashed. The cause of death was determined to be multiple blunt force injuries sustained in the crash, and the manner of death was ruled an accident.

The man has been positively identified, but his name is being withheld while additional next-of-kin notifications are completed. The coroner said some family members have already been notified.

The Lehigh County Coroner’s Office and the Pennsylvania State Police are investigating the crash.
