
OKLAHOMA — A Wagoner man was killed in a motorcycle crash on the Muskogee Turnpike Thursday morning, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
The crash happened shortly after 5:30 a.m. as a motorcycle and a passenger vehicle were traveling northbound on the turnpike.
Troopers said the driver of the car reported that the motorcycle was traveling ahead of the vehicle when it suddenly stopped in the outside lane. The car then struck the rear of the motorcycle, causing the rider to be thrown from the bike.
The motorcyclist was identified as Thomas Pless, 57, of Wagoner.
Authorities said Pless was pronounced dead at the scene.
No other injuries were reported.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol is continuing to investigate the crash.
