GEORGIA — One person is dead following a motorcycle crash in Taylor County on Wednesday evening, according to the Taylor County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities said the crash occurred sometime before 6 p.m. on Newsome Road. The sheriff’s office reported that the motorcyclist lost control of the bike, left the roadway, and struck a drain pipe and a tree.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officials have not yet released the identity of the victim as they work to notify family members.
The Georgia State Patrol is investigating the crash.
