
FLORIDA — A motorcyclist was killed Thursday morning in a crash involving a truck and trailer at the intersection of County Road 215 and Blanding Boulevard, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Investigators said a truck pulling a trailer was stopped on County Road 215 waiting to turn left onto Blanding Boulevard. As the truck entered the intersection, it pulled into the path of a southbound motorcyclist traveling on Blanding Boulevard.
The motorcycle struck the truck and trailer, FHP said.
The rider was transported to a hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
Authorities said alcohol or impairment is not believed to be a factor in the crash.
As of Thursday morning, all southbound lanes of Blanding Boulevard at County Road 215 remain blocked. Traffic is being diverted onto County Road 215 through a nearby convenience store parking lot.
The crash remains under investigation.
