FLORIDA — A 67-year-old Gainesville man was killed in a motorcycle crash Sunday morning in Taylor County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers said the crash occurred around 11:35 a.m. on State Road 51 in Steinhatchee.
According to investigators, the motorcyclist was traveling southbound when he veered into the northbound lane and then onto the grass along the east shoulder of the roadway. The rider lost control of the motorcycle and was thrown from the bike.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Florida Highway Patrol continues to investigate the crash. No additional information was immediately released.
