FLORIDA — A 22-year-old Pinellas Park man died after a crash involving a motorcycle and a pickup truck Tuesday night in St. Petersburg, according to police.
The crash occurred shortly before 10 p.m. at the intersection of Tyrone Boulevard and 21st Avenue North.
Investigators said a Ford F-150 was traveling eastbound when the driver attempted to turn left onto Tyrone Boulevard and failed to yield to an oncoming gray Suzuki motorcycle. The resulting collision caused critical injuries to the motorcyclist.
Police identified the motorcyclist as Xavier Joshua Strunk, 22, of Pinellas Park. He was transported to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
Authorities said the driver of the Ford F-150 remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
The crash remains under investigation.
