MISSISSIPPI — Authorities are searching for a vehicle involved in a deadly hit-and-run crash that claimed the life of a pedestrian early Saturday morning.
According to the Mississippi Highway Patrol, the incident occurred around 1 a.m. on Interstate 55 just north of the Sardis exit in Panola County, Mississippi.
Troopers said a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle and later died from their injuries. The victim has not yet been identified.
Investigators believe the vehicle involved is a white, late-model Toyota Camry with damage to the front driver’s side.
Anyone with information about the crash is urged to contact the Mississippi Highway Patrol. The investigation remains ongoing.
