FLORIDA — A child died after being pulled from a swimming pool at a Seminole County home Wednesday night, according to the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded shortly after 8:30 p.m. to a reported drowning at a residence in the 1400 block of Winston Road in Maitland.
According to investigators, the child was unresponsive and not breathing when they were removed from the pool. Emergency responders transported the child to a hospital, where they were later pronounced dead.
Authorities have not released the child’s age or identity, and no additional details about the circumstances surrounding the incident were immediately available.
The Seminole County Sheriff’s Office said a follow-up investigation is underway.
