NORTH CAROLINA — A Greenville man is facing drug trafficking and child-related charges after police say he exposed a young child to fentanyl.
According to Greenville police, 28-year-old Daquinn Nelson was arrested and charged with trafficking in fentanyl and exposing a child to a controlled substance.
Warrants allege that Nelson exposed a 6-year-old child to fentanyl that was in his possession.
Nelson was taken to the Pitt County Jail, where he is being held without bond.
Online court records show Nelson also has a pending drug charge in Pitt County stemming from last year.
He is scheduled to appear in court for a hearing on Thursday.
All defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
