
OHIO — A southern Ohio man was killed late Friday night after his motorcycle collided with a deer in Adams County, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred around 11:41 p.m. on U.S. Route 52 when a deer entered the roadway and was struck by a motorcycle traveling through the area.
Troopers said the rider, identified as Anthony P. Evans, 65, of Stout, was thrown from the motorcycle during the collision.
Evans was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency medical personnel.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Evans was not wearing a motorcycle helmet at the time of the crash.
The Adams County Sheriff’s Office, Manchester Fire and EMS, Adams County EMS, the Adams County Coroner’s Office, and Scott & Combs Towing assisted at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
